We sell three types of hair, all of which are toy safe and suitable for rocking horses.

Seamed manes & tails are particularly suitable for fitting on new horses. Mane hair is glued & stitched onto a tape. Using the leather strips provided, you can set securely into a slot cut in the horse’s neck, also referred to as the ‘groove’. Tails are glued and wedged into tail-holes. These can be made using either real horsehair or simulated hair. 

Hair on hide is generally longer than seamed hair, however, please note hair on hide colours are natural and can vary greatly. Manes on hide are simply nailed onto the horse’s neck, and tails are glued & wedged in their holes
