Based on a Rocking Horse made from Charles I in the early 1600's, believed to be the first ever Rocking Horse, this super rocking horse really is easy to make; plywood & batten construction with hardwood head, rump & footrests. Its exciting rocking action will delight very young riders from approx. 1 to 3 years - with supervision. The assembly is straightforward, with a simple cut-out head involving no carving. The plan also includes a version with carved head & neck which looks splendid & is an excellent introduction to carving for beginners, if you fancy a challenge.
