Due to customer feedback we are offering Carving Courses on the Laminated Range of Rideable Rocking Horses.  This robust horse is ideal for boisterous children to ride and the birch plywood  creates a beautiful tactile finish with a friendly face that children love.  Courses are aimed at those wishing to make a Medium or Large Laminated Rocking Horse, a convenient way to short cut your build as the horse will be partially assembled on your arrival saving you hours of time at home.  We will show you how, using traditional hand tools and the latest electric carving tools, all tools are provided on the course, everything you need will be on site.  Previous carving experience is not necessary and all skill levels are accommodated - each student will be taught all the techniques to successfully carve, the course will focus on carving the head of the laminated horse which is the hardest part to do.  With the help and practical advise given on the course, you will be able to complete the project in the comfort of your home.

The course fee includes:-

• Three days tuition including use of workshop equipment and all carving tools.
• Lunch, usually freshly made rolls, cold meats and salads, as well as refreshments
• Timber pack for the medium horse, partially assembled. The horse can be upgraded to the large horse for an additional £200
• The timber pack for the stand and accessory sets can be added by contacting us directly. 

The Rocking Horse carving courses courses run 10:00am till 4:00pm on the first two days, 10:00am to 2pm on the final day, with a maximum of 4 students on each course. These courses take place in our purpose built workshop. Accommodation is not included, but we can recommend several local B & Bs, pubs or hotels, and will send you a list on request.
