The smallest of our laminated horses, the mini-rocky is perfect for dolls or teddies, or even just for decoration. These superb half scale models are a great introduction to the laminated method of rocking horse making and also avaiable throughout the year on our carving courses. Assembled, carved, and finished in a same manner as the Medium size version (Plan 129), these horses are fascinating projects to make & will be admired as delightful decorative artefacts. The plan includes full size drawings & instructions for making both stand & bow rocker mounted versions of the rocking horse.

This will be my second rocking horse, the first being a large wich I gave to my son and now can't get hum off it( he slept next to it the first night). I am now making this one to be given away as a donation to a worthy cause. I find that no matter what size I make it is always alot of fun. The plans are beautifly done and I can see many options to modify them into other animals, reindeer for santa or unicorns. Love the prices and customer service. I cant say enough about the componey or the product and I plan on doing atleast one of each size offered.

I make carosell horses for a living and was curious to see what the difference was between a laminated horse and a solid wood one. There was a bit of a learning curve but all in all an amazing product. I plan on making one of each of the horses offered to use as donations to different causes.

I bought this set of plans to have a go at making a doll sized rocking horse. I went out and purchased an 8x4 sheet of top quality Birch plywood, and with a little bit of fiddling around i managed to get three complete rocking horses out of one sheet , for this a Jig saw was required , before final trimming in a bandsaw. Top tip- make a set of wooden templates once you have made one everybody wants one. Secondly make sure you buy top quality plywood ,if your not buying the timber pack. I highly recommend this product great fun and very satisfying product when finished .
