A Message from Susan George - Trustee of Lasting Life 

"There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about my one in a million husband Simon MacCorkindale the man he was and the love we shared. Simon was an incredibly successful, international actor who for 7 years played the pivotal and hugely admired role of surgeon Harry Harper in Casualty. Ironic that this on screen Doctor saving lives every day in 2005 was diagnosed with colon cancer and after a courageous battle devastatingly died in 2010.

At the time I was completely broken but felt that the loss of this vibrant passionate beautiful mans life had in someway to be able to continue in the path of helping others and in 2016 launched Lasting Life, the Simon MacCorkindale Legacy.

The difference with a cancer support charity like ours is we are are able to see funds directly into the hands of individuals and or small organisations, to assist in whatever way we can those affected by the cruel disease of cancer. We are a small charity with a big heart, powerful in our belief and endeavours and no challenge or bridge will ever be too far to cross.
